Benefits of Reciting Sura Nashrah:

Surah Alam Nashrah is a Makkan Surah, revealed in the holy city of Makkah. It is the 94th Surah of Quran e Kareem. It contains 8 verses and 27 words. It is present in the 30th Juz of the Quran.

What is Surah Alam Nashrah About?

This Surah starts with the description of three blessings of Allah SWT on Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Those blessings are

Opening his SAW’s breast
Relieves his burden
Exalting his name

In the second part of the Surah, Allah Almighty relieves the burden from our shoulders.

Indeed, ease accompanies hardship.

And then Allah Almighty repeats the same verse to emphasize the matter.

Then Allah Almighty calls a believer toward his blessings and bounties.

What is the Main message of Surah Ansharah?

The main message of Surah Anshrah is to describe the exalted state of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him before Allah SWT. In the meanwhile Allah Almighty consoles His believers with two repeated verses. Then Allah Almighty calls his bondsmen towards him.

Surah Nashrah, Arabic Text:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْم اَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ(1) وَ وَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ(2) الَّذِیْۤ اَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ(3) وَ رَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَﭤ(4) فَاِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ یُسْرًا(5) اِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ یُسْرًاﭤ(6) فَاِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ(7) وَ اِلٰى رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ(8)

Transliteration of Surah Alam Nashrah:

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem Alam nashrah laka sadrak. Wa wa d’ana ‘anka wizrak. Allazee anqada zahrak. Wa raf ‘ana laka zikrak. Fa inna ma’al usri Yusra. Inna ma’al ‘usri Yusra. Fa iza faragh ta fansab. Wa ilaa rabbika far ghab

English Translation of Surah Alam Nashrah:

“Have We not expanded thee thy breast? And removed from thee thy burden. The which did gall thy back? And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief. Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labor hard. And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention”

Benefits of Reciting Surah Nashra:

Recitation of Surah Nashra has many spiritual benefits. Some of them are as follows;

This surah relieves the heart’s grief and sorrows.
It consoles the grieved heart and soul beautifully.
